Michael Amash

Michael Amash represents labor unions and their affiliated multi-employer pension and apprenticeship funds.

Mr. Amash’s practice has involved litigation and client counseling with respect to the full array of U.S. labor laws including the NLRA, LMRDA, FLSA and ERISA. He has successfully litigated on behalf of clients in a variety of forums ranging from federal district and appellate courts to bankruptcy court, and from private arbitration to federal administrative courts and agencies such as the National Labor Relations Board. In addition, Mr. Amash has advocated for public employees in Missouri, Kansas and Iowa. He has represented local unions in collective bargaining, and in federal and state mediation.

In addition to his practice, Mr. Amash has also been involved in making presentations on best practices for Apprenticeship Funds, the NLRB and social media, and conducted training seminars for union stewards and Taft-Hartley Fund Trustees. Mr. Amash has been selected for inclusion in Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers as a Rising Star each year from 2012 through 2015.

Mr. Amash received a J.D. from the Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law in 2006. While there, he was an editor for the CommLaw Conspectus, and was the recipient of the Plato Papps Labor Law Fellowship. He holds a B.A. from Goucher College (2002).
