Nathan Kakazu joined Blake & Uhlig as an associate in 2018. Previously, he clerked for United States District Court Judge Daniel D. Crabtree in the District of Kansas. Mr. Kakazu’s practice focuses on representing unions and their fringe benefit funds in litigation, primarily in federal court. Mr. Kakazu has handled a variety of cases for multi-employer plans, including employer delinquencies and benefit dispute claims.
Mr. Kakazu graudated cum laude from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2017. He was the Publication Editor for the Kansas Journal for Law and Public Policy and sat on the Moot Court Council, participating in two Moot Court competitions. Mr. Kakazu received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Grinnell College in 2013 and served as the captain of Grinnell’s cross country and track team his senior year.
