Labor Law Associate & Employee Benefits Associate (2 positions available)

 

Blake & Uhlig P.A. is a Midwest law firm based in Overland Park, Kansas representing labor unions and multiemployer employee benefit plans nationwide. Blake & Uhlig seeks a labor law associate with 1-5 years of labor law experience.  Requirements include excellent writing and research skills and a demonstrated interest in labor law and workers’ rights.

 

Blake & Uhlig also seeks an Employee Benefits associate with 1-5 years of employee benefits experience.  This position primarily involves providing advice to clients and plan service providers on compliance with ERISA, PPACA, HIPAA, and other federal and state laws impacting employee-benefit plans; plan document drafting (plan documents/amendments, summary plan descriptions, and plan policies); and attending client meetings.  Prior experience working with qualified retirement plans, self-funded health and welfare plans, and/or LLM in tax or tax certificate preferred.
