Cayla Rodney

Associate

Cayla Rodney joined Blake & Uhlig, P.A. as an associate in 2021.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Rodney advocated for workers’ rights as an intern. During the summer of 2020, Ms. Rodney was awarded a Peggy Browning Fellowship to work for a union-side law firm in New York. Ms. Rodney also interned for two non-profits in North Carolina and South Carolina to provide legal assistance to migrant farmworkers.

Ms. Rodney graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2021. While in law school, Ms. Rodney was a member of the UNC Pro Bono Board in which she helped facilitate pro bono services for her community and encouraged classmates to get involved. She also participated in the Civil Legal Assistance Clinic, served as the notes and comments editor for the North Carolina Journal of International Law, and was a research associate for the Prosecutor and Politics Project.

Ms. Rodney received her bachelor’s degree in Communications from East Carolina University in 2018 and was on the university’s track and cross country team.
